sunbeam is the autonomous SEO agent built by daydream, an AI-native SEO agency that runs SEO and AI search end-to-end for companies like Clay, Replit, and Notion. The story behind it is fifteen years in the making.

Co-founders of sunbeam spent over a decade building SEO-driven businesses, including Flixed, which was bootstrapped to several million in revenue almost entirely through programmatic SEO. They started daydream in 2023 to put expert SEO in anyone's hands, then pivoted into an AI-native agency when they realized the market needed someone to run the work, not just the tools to do it. Through that work, they learned exactly what the SEO function takes, end-to-end, for some of the fastest-growing companies in the world.

In late 2025, frontier model reasoning advanced enough to do the strategic work that had always required a human. That insight became sunbeam. Built inside daydream and benchmarked against SEO expert practitioner output, sunbeam launched with a single mission: build the world's best autonomous marketer, starting with SEO.

Building an agent that runs the full SEO function autonomously is one of the harder problems in applied AI right now. It requires reasoning across long horizons, executing reliably across multiple systems, and owning outcomes the way an expert practitioner would. We believe getting this right is a game-changer for how SEO gets done.
